Well, after being back in the blogging sphere for a few days, I'm beginning to feel the sharp sting of suffered consequences for being "gone" for nearly two months. Here are just a few I've encountered so far:
- Good friends take you off their blog links (i.e. - Corey, what gives, bro?)
- If you've read as few blog posts as you've written, catch-up is... well, eternal
- Teaching pastors will shovel on the guilt with a message about journaling, using blogging to make their point (really - my friend Rob did it tonight at our New Community service! And, he used Corey's blog to illustrate. Salt in the wound.)
- Never being chosen by your teaching pastors to illustrate any point in any message, using your blogging pattern (unless it's about sloth, of course)
- As you try to find your way back "in", you end up creating stupid lists like this one
- People still aren't sure they want to read you, 'cause they're waiting to see if you're really going to say anything worth reading
(Note to self: use the weekend to come up with something readable by Monday.)
(Second note to self: list Corey in my friend list - maybe he'll add me back into his blog link list.)
