It's early morning. I should be sleeping, but I'm just not real tired. Tomorrow's the big day. The Big Major League Baptism day.
Every September we throw a big party at GCC, celebrating through Baptism the life-transformation of hundreds of pepole committed to following Jesus. We've gone to a lake in Michigan for several years, but we've outgrown the facility. There's been plenty of water - it's a lake, but we can't get any more on the shore to celebrate those being baptized.
So we're going to the Cove. Actually, it's not a major league ballpark. It's the minors, but it's baseball in our fair town. And tomorrow the park gets turned into a massive party with six pools and a lap over home plate by everyone immersed.
It's the kind of day that reminds me why I'm doing what I'm doing. People matter to God. And when people know they matter to him, their lives are changed. They begin to realize that other people around them matter to God. And so the revolution goes.
Major League. Kingdom League.
I should rest so I don't miss a thing in a few hours.
