This post may not be for you. It may not even be for anyone you know personally. But I'll bet you've been to a church where you wish somebody there had seen this post. Then, again, this post may be exactly what you need today.
Quite simply - I'm looking for a handfull of people to coach. For four months. Not just a phone call or a workshop or a resource. I'd like to get to know you, your ministry, your challenges and your goals. Then, I want to help you get at it.
I've offered and completed a couple different group coaching experiences focused on all things "connections" in the local church.
This isn't that.
Beginning in September I'm entering a 4-month journey with a more focused group of leaders. This coaching journey will drill down specifically on Guest Services in your local church ministry. Our 3 blocks of 6 face-to-face sessions will target:
- Experiences. Get clear about what you want people to experience in the respective venues at your church. How to raise up leaders and develop teams who create experiences that foster welcome andconnectivity.
- Best practices. How to both capture and create standard, consistent behaviors that reflect your values and engage people. How to avoid wow-busters in first impressions and turn ordinary expectations into wow-makers.
- Strategy. Building systems and structure to lead people and manage processes that engage guests and bring them back. Develop culture that breathes mission and honors agreed upon values.
- Leading Change. Celebrating past and current successes while casting vision for a new future.Leading change and relationship management – with your boss, peers and staff.
- Volunteers. Building, sustaining and leading volunteer teams for effective ministry outcomes while fostering community and growth amongst the team members.
- Your Issue. Time will be carved to drill down on your top issue—working together with the group for possible solution
If you are a pastor or director responsible for guest services ministries - I'm inviting you to apply for this coaching journey.
- It will be intensely practical. Highly conversational. Interactive. And limited to 12 leaders.
- We will study. We'll read. We'll learn together. We'll explore your specific questions, issues and church dynamic.
- We will get specific about cultivating culture, building teams, casting vision, designing environments that help people feel welcome, connect, and find their way to God.
By the way - don't think one coach - think 12 coaches. We'll do this together. I'm confident you'll be better from the experience. I'm certain you'll lead your church, your staff, your teams more effectively and serve your people and guests more thoroughly because of this coaching journey.
I won't include more than 12 leaders. If you're interested, hop in now!
I'm praying God forms an incredible coaching network that will surprise all of us by December!
