Maybe you really have been brainstorming about how to improve your ministry - specifically in the area of Guest Services, or First Impressions. Perhaps you've listed some of the following on your brainstorm list:
- Hire additional staff. Then you looked at your budget. Strike.
- Take the next year to read everything you can on the topic. Good idea. You should. But you need to bump things now.
- Fire, er release, everyone on your current team and start over. Tempting perhaps for you, but not practical.
- Just keep doing what you've been doing. It's what you know, but... you want different results, not more of the same.
Or get you and your team to Granger Community on March 9 for fresh ideas, expanded vision and practical next steps. Steps you can take as soon as you get back home. Steps that will bump your ministry starting now.
The concepts and ideas we'll talk about come from the hundreds of volunteers at Granger and teams from across the country who've brainstormed and implemented best practices that meet people where they are with the love of Jesus in our local churches. Together, with dozens of different churches, we'll brainstorm, network and help each other leave with tangible, practical and specific steps.
- If you're just beginning a guest services ministry, get to Granger. Network with others who are just a step or two beyond where you are.
- If you're developing culture, establishing values and best practices, get to Granger. Change your setting; see what new picture emerges.
- If you're still inviting volunteers, training them, and building teams, get to Granger. Consider it a train the trainer day.
- If you're brainstorming. Anything related to Guest Services. Anything. At all. Get to Granger. Expand your brainstorming beyond your own list or team.
People matter to God. It's what the whole day will be about. Hope you'll join me!
